This week I was a bit late but really things were a bit tough.
For this week I just remembered a movie from 1999. It is Jim Fall’s Trick with Christian Campbell, John Paul Pitoc and Tori Spelling in her best screen apearance ever. The best thing about the movie is the main problem the two leads have. They cannot find a place to make out despite living in the big city. And if this looks like a strange thing, for greek gays it is just another day, since we just keep on living with our parents, or hiding for a long time. So in a way I can tottaly get into the feeling of the two lovers who cannot find a place to have sex. Apart from that the movie though no masterpiece keeps its rythme and its clever lines till the end, despite being predictable, and despite John Paul Pitoc not being my type of guy. Without being hot or too sexual, Trick has a special charm, espceially if you were this young gay back then, wondering if you ll ever find a nice guy, and if you ll have a aomewhere to take advantage of him. Tori Spelling really surprised me and Christian Campbell (Neve Campbell’s brother) really has it. For a relaxing night with or without someone by your side.
And because a trailer wasn’t easy to find and scenes it was a pitty to be revealed here is a small clip with Paul Oskar’s And I danced My life Away on the soundtrack.
Do you remember Paul Oscar?
