They say that Eurovision is for fun and I agree. You don’t expect much out of the whole Fest. It’s great when there’s humour in the air, participants that make fun of themselves and the whole contest, but still you need something that sounds nice…

This year there is so much humour, that we should not stop laughing, but how much can you laugh when most of them are too harsh for the ears?

First and probably the best of this year’s humourous acts is probably Dustin the Turkey with Irelande Douze Pointe!

Dustin makes fun, his lyrics are clever, jokes on everyone even asking sorry Riverdance. The problem is the whole cacophony at the end and the conclusion that throws everything in to create chaos. Faithfull to its main idea, still a bit annoying.

Then there is Spain’s entryt with Baila El Chiki Chiki from Rodolfo Chikilicuatre, tv persona in Spain who is just making fun, with his stumbling dancers, but at leats after two minutes the song is over and you can say that the joke is not so long. It’s also catchy enough and you will be counting with him

Cuatro: el robocop

And then you have Latvia sending Pirates Of The Sea singing Wolves of the Sea a “tremendous trio” as they say, that will bring carnival air in the 2nd semi final. They dance have a catchy tune, that soon fades and is part of europop culture that last years bad luck of Dj Bobo shows that won’t work that much. Of course Robertop Meloni who was also in last years latvian team, succeeded to enter the finals even though the operatic italian song was not the best song you have ever heard and also retro.

And then comes the final hit… The whole effort is so ridiculous. Ok probbaly the lyrics that i don;t understand are really funny, but still the duo looks pathetic, cheap tv that you only expect from these countries, but still Estonia has won the Contest once and their acts were not that bad. Stil this year they went for humour but they ended up with kitch and pathetic. Sorry Kreisiraadio but Leto Svet is more sad than funny…

Still those four aim on humour but still have not the style and the stage power of Sylvia Night the one and true and greatest ever humourous eurovision participation of the last years. Sorry Dustin, Sorry Rodolfo, Sorry Pirates but you cannot compete with her.

So i have to say that still for this year i stick with my Sound Of The Music song that was discovered in Belgium
