It’s true that Celine Dion never had it with video clips. It’s actually a unique case of releasing singles like that, without even trying to promote them at all. Her usual video has this structure

Celine in the studio recording the song +images from her walking, or talking, or doing silly, or if it is song from a movie clips of the movie. For some reason her company is happy with the album sales so that finds no reason to actually create any hit singles for her. She did that a lot of times in the past, living her singles to work on their own whenever that was possible. In her last album she at least created a first video with some production value, despite me finding it a bit boring and out of context. The video for Taking Chances showed some effort and ended with the promise that it will be continued…

Then the album managed to sold 3.500.000 copies around the world, reaching 1.000.000 in the US and becoming platinum in many countries. Even in Greece where her popularity seems dropping managed to peak at no2 in the international album chart (exactly the same position that the new Mariah Carrey album peaked, and MC had huge promotion). So the the record company thought why bother. Eyes on Me was the second single in UK that was actually never promoted, no video, not anything. The rest of Europe had the cover of Heart’s Alone, that also was released with a silly video. The video was only an abstract from her CBS special “That’s just the Woman in Me”. And suddenly on the 5th of May they decide to release an official video for Eyes on me, depsite the fact that the single was originally released in January and never thinkingof including the intresting remix she presented on her CBS special with Black eyes Peaswill.i.am

Instead we got this video with some footage of her concert, but still even the clothes are a bit b-rated and the whole addition of celine helping the children. But of course when Madonna ends up in videos like Give it 2 me what can we ask from Celine. The girl rarely managed to have a proper video.
