man sitting nakedI always wanted to write things, comment on what is going on. To talk about anything that came up in conversations with friends, and I have to admit that a lot of things that I write come through friends, through conversations about everything and anything. Most of the times I had the chance to write about things in different media, but never as freely as an anonymous blog. The other thing missing in my writtings was the gay perspective. Despite being out of the closet for a long time now, the spatality of the closet is a very flexible thing. As any gay guy can tell the boundaries of the closet is never erased they just expand. In every new environment you enter you start as being in the closet. Especially in Greece’s conservative communities, even the most cool withtheir sexuality guys, see themselves backing back. It’s not that we have to scream all the time that we are gay, but on the other hand is really awful to have to take a deep breath of courage before answering a question honestly.

The blog started at a point where I really wanted to express my thoughts on some Celine Dion songs, thoughts created by her last album and really cought my state of being at that time. The guy that made me feel this way, was just right there, and I had realised that I have been a bit too stuborn. Still I wasn’t able at that time to express myself, so wrote it downa and uploaded it. After that thngs just came bit bit, conversation by conversation, night out by night out, and the blog started to take a more solid form.

So there are six main categories, cause I preferred not over label things. So here how it goes. (theother labels are some few exceptions)

G for gaythoughts – whenever a gay subject arises and I decide to comment on it

I for image – movies, tv, or other image based arts I happen to cross

L for lyrics -sometimesit’s the lyrics that attract me and not music as a whole

M for music – this is the music that i want to comment on, not all the times in my taste, but always something that I really want to talk about

S for sex – what more clear than that, the thing that sells more and will always sell, and no matter how cultured we try to show we are we always follow

W for wondering – sometimes you justgrab yourself looking out in the blue, looking without looking, diving into your inner thoughts, and sometimes you try to put these things in word, destroying this contemplation moment but still so cathartic.

Apart from these categories I decided to begin every week with a film of queer cinema, present it, movies that I would like to know what people think about…

Comments can always be in english or greek… no problem.
