It won’t be long (song by Beatles as performed in the fabulous Julie Taymor film Across The Universe)
It won’t be long yeh, yeh,
It won’t be long yeh, yeh,
It won’t be long yeh, yeh,
Till I belong to you.
Ev’ry night when ev’rybody has fun,
Here am I sitting all on my own,
It won’t be long yeh, yeh,
It won’t be long yeh, yeh,
It won’t be long yeh, yeh,
Till I belong to you.
Since you left me I’m so alone,
Now you’re coming, you’re coming home,
I’ll be good like I know I should,
You’re coming home, you’re coming home.
Ev’ry night the tears come down from my eyes,
Ev’ry day I’ve done nothing but cry.
It won’t be long yeh, yeh.
Since you left me I’m so alone,
Now you’re coming, you’re coming home,
I’ll be good like I know I should,
You’re coming home, you’re coming home.
Ev’ry day we’ll be happy, I know,
Now I know that you won’t leave me no more.
It won’t be long yeh, yeh.
For you, because you make fun of me for figure skating but still the world champions in Dance on Ice have the same taste in music with you. Here

Aller Plus Haut by Tina Arena
I am pretty sre that if you live just a few kilometers north of Athens, anything described n the news as severe conditions would just be funny. Though in my 26 and a half years living in the city I never saw something like this. 17 centimeters of snow is a joke for most european countries, but still in Greece everything freezes literally and metaphorically. So I am home and watching out of my window because I have no obligation to go to work, I am under dangerous conditions…
It started snowing on Saturday night while I was at this party a friend invited me to go. The Sex and The City party as i baptized it. You had single women around 30+ and single gay men (more or less at the same age), plus drinks, plus snowing out of the window and the most important one local celebrity, the name will not be revealed, to protect the innocents (and actually me). The night was actually fun, nice music, nice drinks, nice finger food, a birthday cake. But there it was this guy, bald, glasses, culture style, artistic type a bit bohemian, telling me about his life. Intresting maybe he could have been, but first I think he was looking for something more, second he was spitting a bit, like the snow outside wasn’t enough, third he was moving from one subject to another without a slight connection, making it so hard to follow or actually take part in the whole blah blah.
We text as we eat
As we listen to the freaks
As we wait for the right of way
We text as we talk
We’re running as we walk
Cos we surf our little souls away
We smoke as we choke
As we sink another Coke
And we grin when it blows our mind
We skate as we date
As we slowly suffocate
We’re running, we’re running, we’re running
Out of time
I know it’s flattering to get people interested in you, but I wasn’t at all interested in getting to know him. Especially when you make an irrelevant to the previous conversation comment about an ex who didn’t know Betty Davis, but at the same time you prove yourself equally ignorant about other parts of cinema.
I totally miss you…
At a point my boyfriend gets mentioned and i am freed by the annoying, blah-blah guy. The party went on till late but me at 2 o’clock wanted to get home.
My life got cold
It happened many years ago
When summer slipped away
So chill now whoa
We’ve gotten many years to go
So take it day by day
I had already danced enough, I had already seen Ben Affleck’s Gone Baby Gone and the snow hadn’t topped falling. By the way I actually liked Ben Affleck’s film, mainly because of its very consistent and strong plot, thanks to Dennis Lehan novel, that had nothing to do with the silly trailer they made to promote it. You go on to see a crime thriller about a guy looking into the underworld for a missing girl, to end on a police drama, exploring some very well-built characters, entering on interesting and edgy issues. Plus EdHarris is so sexy.
And long ago
I lost my soul
To some forgotten dream and
How was I supposed to know
It wasn’t what it seemed
And even though the last hello
Has left me on the floor
I don’t believe in Romeos or heroes anymore
On Sunday the snowflakes were still going on and by afternoon the wind was added to the extreme weather conditions. I was out with friends and crazed parents were calling to find out where we are and how we would get home
Relax ma, it’s just snow and we are far away from living The Day After Tomorrow (which was not good at all)…
Till sunset winter was all around and everything in the city had stopped. Almost no cars in the streets, no buses, no trains only people who wanted to go out and play with the thick snow. I just wonder, yesterday night how many gay people traveled up to Gazi?
We spend as we lend
Cos we’re happy to pretend
Everything’s gonna be OK
We shake as we break
Never give until we take
And we hate when we have to pay
We flirt while we work
To forget about the hurt
And the trash that we left behind
We sink as we swim
The ice is wearing thin
We’re running, we’re running, we’re running
Out of time
And when they were there how did they got back to their closets afterwards? Was soadade as crowded as it usually is? Is the cold weather enough to change these week-end almost obligatory shows up? i don’t even want to know what would happen to teh cruising guys if they went in Zappio…brrrrr
And in all these severe conditions, you are far away in the cold, I just wished I could take you in my arms and warm you… Here is a song you liked so much…
We just said goodbye and as I left you my mp3 palyer was just playing this, we would have heard it together if we had just skipped this one track… I heard the song first time thanks to you…
Dancin’ where the stars go blue
Dancin’ where the evening fell
Dancin’ in your wooden shoes
In a wedding gown
I just hear the song and I ‘m…
Dancin’ out on 7th street
Dancin’ through the underground
You hated that when i did it…
Dancin’ little marionette
Are you happy now?
Where do you go when you’re lonely
Where do you go when you’re blue
Where do you go when you’re lonely
I’ll follow you
I just wish it was so simple
When the stars go blue, blue
When the stars go blue, blue
When the stars go blue, blue
When the stars go blue
But still I keep images in my head and i am..
Laughing with your pretty mouth
Laughing with your broken eyes
Laughing with your lover’s tongue
In a lullaby
I go to sleep now and I think I want you in my dreams as long as you are not here…
